What set the Mainship 36 apart from competitive models was an easily driven, semi-displacement hull designed for efficient low-speed operation while retaining the ability to run at higher planing speeds.

The below decks accommodations are arranged with the galley and dinette down a few steps from the salon.

A lower helm was standard in the salon, and a walkaround double berth is located in
the full-beam aft stateroom.

With both the dinette and salon sofa converted, the Mainship will sleep eight—not bad for a 36-foot boat.

Topside, the flybridge is set up with the helm forward and guest seating aft, and there’s room on the full-width afterdeck for a few pieces of deck furniture.

With just 270hp Crusader gas engines, the Mainship 36 delivers a relatively good turn of speed.

She’ll cruise at 14–15 knots and reach a top speed in the low 20s.
